Brewers sign Seth McClung to minor league deal

Just found out the news via his twitter account. I think this is great. I was a big McClung fan. He's a cool guy.

When I think of Big Seth, the other thing I think of (besides the $5 shirsey) is his baller performance on 9/26/2008 vs. the Cubs. When he got the final strikeout to end the game, I jumped and whooped in our living room enough to send the cats running.

nice depth for AAA. He's not a quality big leaguer, but he's a class act and he throws hard. Who knows, he could start producing and contribute, but at least he's there for depth

If the guy could actually produce I'm okay with it though those ugly AAA numbers suggest otherwise. Whether or not he's a great guy is meaningless to me and how do we really know anyway? We're not around him.

Happy for the signing for no other reason than it adds depth to the pen if people get hurt. Quality depth is another question, but here's hoping for a turnaround.
