Looks like we signed another former Ranger prospect w a checkered past, any way he cracks the Opening Day Roster

No, ton of potential but he hasn't been on a baseball field enough in his career to make the majors. He has hindered his growth through mulitiple suspensions. I'm curious as to what his issues are. I can't find what is wrong with him other than he has off-field problems. He is considered to be a very high ceiling kid but needs to clean up whatever demons he has.

OK, so he was involved in an incident, and was on probation for 3 years. Scouts say he's a 5 tool prospect.

He hasn't made it past High A ball and he's 23. So probably not counting on him for this year in Milwaukee.

Velazquez was a Ranger, Narron was the Rangers hitting coach (my guess is he had seen him at least a little in ST.) Velazquez is a 5 tool guy with a massive ceiling but is very self destructive, Narron helped turn around one of the most destructive players in baseball into an all-star who has maxed out his extreme ceiling in Hamilton. Ummm, hope lightning strikes twice. Much different circumstances since Hamiliton had know Narron for ever and had different issues but yeah can hope.
