2011 Brewers Clubhouse Sale (December 2-3)

I asked our ticket rep a couple of weeks ago and he reported that it will be December 2-3 (Friday-Saturday), which is consistent with the practice of past years. It's usually Thanksgiving week or the week after before brewers.com has a press release about it.

Thanks for the info Hawing, I am looking forward to being there on the 2nd.
Yup, that's our plan as well; just not at opening time. If I have to get up at 6:00 AM, it's not a day off. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

So...I know some bf.netters were at the pre-sale for season ticket customers Thursday evening. (I was not among them.) How's the scene this year?

Edit: I'll start answering my question with some links:

I've been to this a couple of times in past years. My experience is that it's way too cramped and that it's just a bunch of clearance rack items that you could get a good price on at any time (example - I purchased a Central division champions hat for $10 at Grand Avenue earlier this week).

Having said that, I got the email for the season ticket holder's pre-sale and decided that since maybe it was just for season ticket holders the crowds would be limited. So, I was going to stop by on my way home from work yesterday. I took canal street to the stadium, got to the "hot corner" area at about 4:50 (sale was from 5-6 last night). and there was pretty much a line of cars to get into the lot and the lot was getting full. I decided to drive right by and continue on my way home. I guess I should have known better when they stated that all you had to do was print off the email and bring it in. Not to hard to send it to friends and family and let them use it as well.

I just don't see the big draw in this event. Not worth waiting in line for and dealing with the cramped space they use for it imho. I guess if you are interested in a discounted Marcus Hanel jersey or something like that, this is the sale for you.

JaDerHeyski worked until 5, but we thought we'd go and beat the general public. We got to the lot around 5:40. We had to wait in line for 15-20 min before we could even get into the clubhouse. The place was picked clean, just junk left to buy. What made us mad was that 10 min after getting into the clubhouse, the place was empty and there was no line anymore. So you either need to get there way early (like an hour before STH openning) or you should just wait until 30 after the general public openning.

One of my regulars said he got there early and bought a couple polos and several T-shirts for weekend and around the house wear, for himself and his sons. Said XL T-shirts were in short supply, and he would not be shocked if there was not a single one left for the general public, unless they were holding some in back.

They must restock fairly often - there were plenty of XL and XXL shirts today at 9am. I saw an employee walk through with racks of jackets and shirts while I was waiting in line to get in. It was very chaotic though - they should either hold it somewhere with a bigger area, or let less people in at a time. It's hard to shop when you can't move. I'm sure I would have bought more if it wasn't so hard to get to the racks. Still a good time!

There's a curtain in the back corner that cuts off the walkway up to the field and they stage things back there. There are racks of clothes waiting to go out.

Also, the stuffed Racing Sausages were in big supply during the preview and the staff just kept bringing boxes of them from somewhere. They weren't even making it in the door before people were emptying them of what they were carrying. It was nuts.

I just rolled into town for the weekend...never been before...is it worth going to on Saturday?
If you've never been, head on down. It's fun just to be in the service level and clubhouse. Otherwise, check the trading post thread on this sale, where I just added to the reviews of the event.
