MLB Trade Rumors states that the Marlins offered Reyes 6 years and $90 million.
Wow, I don't think that's enough to get him ($15M a year). MLBTR also reported Hanley Ramirez "not open to position change" and that this was not discussed with Hanley, as previously reported.

It could be that the Marlins might are throwing around all these offers as a PR stunt (it's working), but they may not truly have the money to pay what is needed to get Reyes, Pujols, etc.

Meanwhile Reyes is asking for a nice round number of $100 million which would require a 6th year (no thanks).
