Terry Ryan named interim Twins GM

Surprised noone is talking about this yet. I remember a couple posters on here wanted him to become the Brewers' Gm a while ago. Seems like a popular move in Minnesota.

Didn't know that he was getting back in the game. Judging from my MSP friends, Twins Territory is probably overjoyed right now.

From what I read he is not a permanent replacement by an interim, on a year to year basis. It is an interesting move. That team is pretty ugly right now. Very little starting pitching or relief pitching. They are talking like they want to improve at SS, 3B, and 2B. They have huge question marks at 1B, and C. They have an opening in the OF as it looks like Cuddyer is gone and they dont seem interested in Kubel. Their minor league system is pretty bad outside a couple players. Terry Ryan is great GM but boy does he have his work cut out for him.

Apparently, people here in Minnesota think it is a permanent hire and not interim. Not sure why the club would call it interim if it wasnt though.
