Grady Sizemore released by Indians

Released by Cleveland. Any interest in signing him to potentially play 1st base? This assumes he wants to play first base. He's had like 19 surgeries on his knees. I think playing 1st would help in that regard. Maybe they cut ties with Nyjer and tell Sizemore he'll play CF once in a while as part of a platoon with Gomez and 1st base the rest of the time. Is it worth a one year incentive laden deal? Or is Grady a product of the steroid era?
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006
