Milwaukee Bucks 2011/2012

I'm with you on Leuer, I just hope he continues to get minutes once everyone is healthy. Once Bogut returns, Harris starts playing, etc....I have a feeling he gets stuck on the end of the bench, which will give me almost no reason to watch at all.

Wow, what a sad 5 game road trip. It is very hard to watch Stephen Jackson and Drew Gooden play and hoist up so many terrible shots. Jackson can hardly get up and down the court, and he makes some terrible decisions.

I think its time to let the young guys like Tobias Harris, Larry Sanders and Jon Leuer get a ton of minutes to let them develop alongside Bogut and Jennings. If these two aren't either traded soon, and/or more minutes aren't given to the young guys, I will stop caring and spending my time and money on the Bucks.

I know they are only 8 games into the season; but it seems inevitable that the end result of the season is going to either be a middling year with a pick around #10 or we squeak into the playoffs and get blasted by someone. I really don't think Jennings is ever going to become an above average PG. He can't shoot and he can't finish at the rim and his assists/ball handling skills are probably average at best. I wouldn't be opposed to trading him at all. Put Livingston at point. I wouldn't trade Bogut on the other hand; offensively competent big men are very hard to find; plus he is a pretty good rebounder and shot blocker. I don't think you want Drew Gooden or Larry Sanders to be your future C.

I expected the road trip to be bad, but not that bad. The whole Bogut thing was horrible timing, but I'm not sure that it would have made a difference. Only a few games in, but it's clear that an offense centered around Jennings and Jackson (who seems to have aged about 10 years in the past offseason) is the road to ruin.

Jennings has skills. If he could only develop a midrange jumper that's a poor imitation of Cassell or be able to finish at the hoop consistently he'd be deadly. Unfortunately, he is far too content to jack up threes for my taste. I agree that this team needs scorers/shooter(s) to surround him with. He should be a distributor first, a shooter second.

I hope the Bucks continue playing like they have. At least they will get a good pick in a very mediocre draft coming up this year. The only player who will probably go #1 that I would like the Bucks to draft would be Andre Drummond from UConn. Not sure he will be coming out after his freshman year but he is probably the only player that I am a little bit excited about coming into the 2012 draft. Another player Rakeem Christmas who will be a project if he comes out after his freshman year is another player I would like to see the Bucks get. Finally Perry Jones is probably the only other player between Christmas and Drummond that I would like to see the Bucks get but Jones is more of a project than Christmas would be.

Please Bucks just tank for the whole year and maybe that magical stupid ping pong will give you the #1 pick. (I hate the stupid NBA Draft lottery).

This is supposed to be a very deep draft this year. I'd love to get Thomas Robinson from Kansas, he is a beast as a PF, and I think will be a very good NBA player. I also like Anthony Davis and Gilchrist from Kentucky, Barnes from NC, Sullinger from OSU, and Lamb from UConn to name a few.

The team is so much better with Leuer on the floor instead of Gooden. It's laughable. I'm stunned Skiles is playing Leuer this much. At this point I hope they continue to give Leuer, Sanders and Harris meaningful minutes just to see what they can do - guys like Dunleavy and Gooden can ride the pine for all I care.

Leuer had a really nice all around game.

I hate to burst your bubble but they're 4-6 playing one of the easiest schedules in the NBA.

They've beaten 1-9 Washington, 3-7 Minnesota, 7-4 San Antonio and 2-9 Detroit.

They've lost to 2-9 Charlotte, 7-4 Denver, 6-4 Utah, 4-6 Phoenix, 4-7 Sacramento and 5-3 Los Angeles.

I meant they are undefeated at home and windless on the road. I probably should have used a shade @of blue

$8 on StubHub for lower level seats for tomorrow's game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Just a reminder of how fickle and cyclical these things are in Milwaukee. Before Miller Park, the Bucks outdrew the Brewers in 95 and 96 and almost did in 2000.

I'll take any win this team can get early on. I think it is a bit early IMO to know what this team can do, but hopefully the young guys get playing time win or lose. This was the first game I've watched a decent part of...did Jackson look better last night than he has this year? I've heard he's looked pretty bad.

the only lost i can blame them for is charlotte, they are obviously a different team without bogut. looking forward to see what they can do back to back at dallas tonight.

it would be like taking braun out of the 2012 lineup and complaining that the brewers can't score runs. (which is a possibility still unforunately)

^It's the way they lost the games though. Sacramento should never outscore any team by 24 points in one half.

Then again the Kings are probably thinking a Bogut-less Bucks team should never outscore anyone by 21 in one half.

Coulda, shoulda...I know... but they should have won 2/3 of the Charlotte/Denver/Sac games. Nice to see Jack coming into form. Man, what steal they got with Leuer in 2nd round. Trying not to reach too far, but could Leuer be a legit stud? The guy has great awareness and bball IQ, that won't go away. A big guy who can post, hit a mid-range jumper, and can put it on the floor and get to the rack. Just not a lot of guys his size with that skill set. Not to mention he can hit 3s also- just hasn't pushed the envelope yet. Much better defensive player than I thought he would be in the NBA on top of it.

I think for Leuer to truly become a good player, he's going to have to bulk up some. He's played a lot but most of his points are on jumpers or dunks when he's open. I haven't really seen him do too many effective post moves in the NBA, he's going to have to work on that and can a little bit of strength, but he's been much, much better than expected. Also pretty cool to have the Badger/Bucks connection.

I know Harris has just started playing, but Leuer has looked way, way better than Harris did. Too early, but that looks like another horrendous first round pick. Granted, this aws to be expected I guess as Harris has very little experience and was very young, but still. Seems like virtually every Hammond pick has been a guy that's years away, and to this point, really only Jennings has shown any sort of potential.

Alexander - out of the league

Jennings

Sanders - plays some but looks to be way over his head

Harris

The Bucks have had an easy schedule, but is it really going to get much tougher? The East is a cesspool after the top few teams. As for the horrible road record, has this team not played like crap on the left coast since the 80's? I know that they have horrible long term records in Utah, Phoenix and Dallas.
