Milwaukee Bucks 2011/2012

GB12
If the target was Royce White, and the Bucks have shown no interest in him, they would be trading back to take him. Drafting him at 14 would be a huge reach.

I'm not sure. Something in my gut tells me that White is going to be a good player in the league. He kind of reminds me of Shawn Marion. That said, he's build like Marcus Fizer which scares me, in addition to the Iowa St. tie. I think the the major issue is that he will be a SF and his shooting is pretty suspect. There are some other issues with him, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn into one of the better players from this draft.

I'm not saying he won't be a good player, I'm just saying 14 would be a reach for him when he could probably be had in the 20-25 range. He'd be a good trade candidate if the Bucks say traded back for 21 and 22 from Boston or something.

Boston is for sure picking him if he's there at 21, so trading down would have to be... I dunno... Houston at 18? Ha!

He'll play small forward, he's definitely in the "point forward" mold, and rebounds very, very well for a guy his size. His off the court issues are incredibly blown out of proportion (I think, at least), and Milwaukee would be the perfect spot for him (the same way it was for Greinke).

Watching his highlights, I feel like his ceiling could be Paul Pierce esque.

If you trade back with Boston and get 21 and 22, they can't take him at 21 lol. They would be trading up to get someone else at 14. Then we grab White at 21 and someone else at 22.

I like this trade solely because it should prevent the Bucks from stupidly drafting Henson, Leonard, or Zeller, and instead take a wing like Ross or Lamb.

I disagree 100%. Dalembert is a one year stop-gap, and wouldn't prevent the Bucks from selecting a Center in the draft. In fact, this is a tip of the hand that's exactly where they're going. If they brought ina Center with a few years left on a contract, it would be a different story.

Udoh and Sanders are PF, not really a true Center, so that has no effect on picking a Center in the draft either.

Call me crazy, but I want Royce White, even at 14.

I don't think you're crazy. I just don't believe there's such a thing as a big reach once you get into the middle of the round. We are all programmed to believe that if 17 mock drafts have guys slotted in certain places, it's a big reach to take a guy not "projected" to go nearly that high. When in reality, there just isn't much separation at all.

I love Royce White (and Festus Ezeli for that matter.) White would be that kind of guy who would help you in a lot of ways immediately. His floor is a solid contributor, but he also has an upside. I would much rather have him than a safe pick like Ross or Terrence Jones.

Draft related, but not necessarily Bucks related. Chad Ford said this morning that OKC is offering Harden to the Bobcats for the #2 pick, which they would use on Brad Beal. Would you do this if you are Charlotte? I would in a heartbeat.

Seth Davis thinks Royce White is the steal of the draft. This leads me to believe that drafting him would be an extraordinarily bad idea.

I would be very satisfied with Terrence Ross, Tyler Zeller, or Austin Rivers. Terrence Jones would be an OK pick, Leonard or Sullinger would be awful.

I wonder who the Bucks are targeting if they are trying to get into the Top 10 and how they could even trade up that far. Maybe Dion Waiters?

Yea, that's the only thing that makes me nervous about my man crush on Royce White. If Seth Davis likes him, makes me wonder how far I've strayed from reality.

Should be fun tonight, I'm sure the Bucks aren't done dealing.

I want Lamb, Ross, or T Jones at 14. If we trade in to the top 10 I'm taking Waiters outside of the MKG, Beal, Drummond, or Barnes dropping to us.

Udoh and Sanders are definitely 5's at this point. They have no offensive skills and are more suited to guard opposing centers.

Sign me up for Crowder in the second round.

The Bucks are apparently still trying to move into the top 10.

How? They don't have anything in order to move up that high. Besides their current 14th pick, Mbah a Moute is probably the only other movable guy we have. That's not enough to get in the top 10.

I have to say, I haven't been excited for a draft like this in a few years.

They have Ellis and Sanders and Udoh and Mbah a Moute.

I wonder if they could do Ellis/14 for Bogut/7 with Golden state...

I'll be glad when the Bucks pick and I can turn this train wreck of a broadcast off. Must they inject a human interest story with two awkward interviews into every pick? I normally don't watch ESPN, and when I do, I'm reminded why in a matter of minutes.

NBA drafts are a roll of the dice after the top three. I'm neither upset or happy. Time will tell...
