It pretty much is. They put all their eggs in this basket by throwing Yo this game. If they had thrown Wolf this game, they'd at least have Yo vs. Lohse tomorrow and a big advantage there. Instead, they're three outs away from Randy Wolf being the only person standing in the way of the Cards taking a 3-1 lead.

He was on base 3 times including a home run. Meanwhile Hart also misplayed a ball in the same inning and Hart, Braun, Fielder, and Weeks all failed in key situations. So this loss is somehow completely on Ron because Kotsay failed to get to one ball in the 1st inning? Morgan has played a %+##+@ CF this series anyways; who knows if he would have even taken a good route to get there. If we do lose; Kotsay won't be the primary reason

only lefty in the pen with Punto, a lefty hitter, and switch hitter who isn't nearly as good from the right side coming up...why isn't a good idea for Narveson to be pitching right now?
