2011-10-12 Brewers (Gallardo) at Cardinals (Carpenter) - [Brewers lose, 4-3; trail NLCS, 2-1]

Carpenter had nothing today. Nice to get into the Cardinals bullpen, but it is too bad we couldn't come through with a few more timely hits vs. Carpenter.

Nice to see Yo putting up zeros. Just gotta get one and it is a brand new ballgame. I trust our bullpen much more than I trust theirs.

Lucroy, Hart, and Weeks has really hurt us in the playoffs with their lack of production.

Fixed, wish Weeks was better, but he hasn't recovered from that ankle, and it is hard to expect much. Same for Luc. He hasn't produced much in the last month. I didn't think that would change. Hart on the other had has been bad with the bat and the glove and has really hurt this team.

To add....Lucroy's been pretty good behind the dish, too....

Luc's defense in the NLDS gets him a pass in my book. Rickie will come through. Hart is in one of his funks that we're all too used to. He gets hotter than heck and cold as heck. He's like JJ Hardy light.

I will say, though, that without looking at his numbers, Hart has seemed to be much less streaky this year.

Nobody is going to believe me, but I had said we could get to Carpenter today. I actually called for a win. I didn't foresee such an implosion of a first inning by Milwaukee. I thought maybe 3-4 runs for the cards over the game. Let's hope they are done scoring and we have a couple left in the bats.

I'm feeling ok right now about this game and honestly, if we lose, I think it would be an ok loss. If there is such a thing, I'd see it as a catapult for the crew. Jibberish talk maybe, but it makes sense to me.

-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.
