The better team does not win 100% of the time even with home field advantage, it is rare they win even 70% of the time.

I realize you like bringing people back to earth but for one night can you just....not do that?

Nope, I am not a kneejerk poster and never will be.
Well you got that word half right any way.

I said this in the non-Brewers IGT and I stand by it:

"2011 Cardinals are the 2010-2011 Packers. Tons of talent, great leadership at the helm, decimated by injuries and hindered by bad breaks, forced to settle for the Uno card instead of winning division, forced to hit the road for the entire playoffs, super dangerous & poised to shock the world, team of destiny."

Don't get me wrong, I really really really hate "stare-down every-home" Pujols, "punk-clown-look-on-my-face" Molina, and "ass-u-R-aL" LaRussa, but I'd be dishonest if I didn't admit to respecting the crap out of what that organization does year after year. Duncan's inluence is a myth? You could probably convince me. LaRussa isn't really that good? You could probably convince me. All I know is, over the last handful of years it seems like all this Cardinals team does is exceeed expectation and turn potential excuses into distant memories as they just get it done. As a rival fan, I'd be lying if I didn't say I was jealous.

Cards fans are the most spoiled fan base in the NL, and it upsets me greatly, but I guess it's mostly envy....

"Be careful what you wish for." That is what I've been saying to people who wanted St. Louis in the NLCS. Yes, the Brewers have the home field advantage, but that can change quickly.

Well written post Valpo. I was thinking along the same lines a few hours ago. This is not the Packers/Bears NFC Championship. The Brewers are playing a legitimate championship caliber team.

Im going to game 3 and 5 of the NLCS. Hey Nyjer Morgan @TheRealTPlush Can't wait to see you get hit by the first pitch you see Sunday!!!!!

Please, Please hit Morgan with a pitch! That just puts a runner on for Braun and Prince!

There is this guy at my school who is a Cardinals fan. As misguided as he may be he is a pretty nice dude, so they have at least one good fan.

That's all I have. I hate the Cardinals with every fiber of my being and I would like nothing more than to absolutely destroy their hopes and dreams in this series.
