So...with a day off tomorrow...why didn't we use Saito and Hawkins in the 6th and 7th? I know we were down 4 runs but whats the downside? Keep it as close as you can and see what happens.

 

None of our top guys pitched yesterday and they won't pitch tomorrow.

 

I mean its a long shot but why not?

A little bit, I just went back to it, did his fist pump and then turned and looked into the Brewers dugout for a bit.

Face it, with all of the Brewers antics and cockiness, teams are going to want to taunt or get back at us in some way, shape or form eventually. If I was a D-Back, I'd be looking for ways to mock Beast Mode too.

Roenicke managed this pitching staff like it was a game in July. His inexperience in the playoffs really showed here. With a day off on Monday and a day off tomorrow, there's no reason he shouldn't have used Saito, Hawkins, K-Rod and axford for the 6th - 9th. Who knows, it could be 7-6 right now.

Yeah, that's where I thought their "snake" thing came in, but as far as I know, Beast Mode has never been directed at an opposing player.

 

Maybe Gomez/Yuni said something en espanol

Beast Mode has never been done to anyone but our own dugout/fan. They started doing this snake thing just yesterday. It's a direct taunt and taking it to a whole nother level by direting it towards us.

 

An average start from Wolf tonight and we win this game. Scored six runs and got destroyed. Their offense has rolled for two games. It's hard to imagine it just shutting off that quickly for game 5. Going against Kennedy after getting hammered in back to back games is not ideal. Almost feels like we're the underdog.
