2011-10-04 Brewers (Marcum) at Diamondbacks (Collmenter) - [Brewers lose, 8-1; lead NLDS, 2-1]

The outfields in the West aren't that big. Arizona and Colorado have big outfields because normal size outfields would regularly lead to 10-9 games. Dodger Stadium is 375 to the gaps and 400 to center. Petco is like 370 to the left center gap, 396 to center and 387 to right center. AT&T is deep in the right field gap at 421 but shallow to right at 309, only 368 to left center and 396 in center.

For everyone's enjoyment. In the postgame presser Sir Albert and Berkman complained about the shadows at Busch this afternoon. Albert said, maybe if they were the Yankees they would get a night game. Seriously.
was it the same Albert that went 4-5 today with 3 doubles? and the same STL team that had 12 hits?

Haha are you serious?
Here's the exact quote:

"It's tough but we can't do anything about it," said first baseman Albert Pujols, who went 4-for-5 with three doubles. "We've been talking all year long and there's nothing you can do about it. Maybe if we were the New York Yankees maybe we would have played an 8 o'clock game today.

"I just don't understand why we're playing a 4 o'clock game when the league knows that we have tough shadows out there. But there's nothing you can do. They are making their money and I guess they put the game time however they wanted to."

It is what it is. I just don't understand when we play a 4:00 game the league knows we have tough shadows out there, but there's nothing you can do. They're making their money, their paying their money. I guess they put the game time however they want it."
