What a foolish offensive performance by the Crew. The wind is blowing out, sun is glaring in fielder's eyes, and the Brewers are swinging violently and hitting most balls on the ground. Meanwhile all our outfielders are having an adventure on the Cub fly balls. Can you imagine how bad of a time Soriano would have if we actually hit balls that he had to go back on?

You guys make it funny worried who the Dbacks have and who the Cards have but the Bottom line the only concern should be the Brewers winning their games so it would not matter what anyone else could do. The Marlines will give the Brewers everything they want this weekend. They better not wait for the Pirates to come to town cause things could get very Intresting.

Chill. If you're worried about winning the division, they only need a combination of 3 wins and Cards losses over the final week. While I suppose it's technically possible that they blow it, it is highly, highly improbable.

Your positivity is overwhelming.

The Marlins suck. Nothing about this race will be "interesting" despite all of your sky-is-falling rhetoric.

we just need to wake up
So, assuming a loss today, 6-3 over the last 9 games, including the total destruction of the Reds on the road is asleep?

Cards are not playing they are going to lose to many games
They don't have to lose many games. They likely don't even have to lose any.

Cards are not playing they are going to lose to many games and i very concerned about the brewers winning 3 games with the weak Offense and bad defense. I don't care who else wins as far the Dbacks or Braves we just need to wake up and finish this thing off.

Right, because they've won 91 games to this point, I can see why you would think they can't win 3 more games this season ... at home ... against 2 below .500 teams ... that we're 14-2 against this season.

It just doesn't feel like we're playing overly well right now. Yeah, we swept the Reds, but they seem to have mailed it in and they were basically putting the ball on a tee for us. We're really struggling against any capable pitcher.

I know we're still in a great spot with a magic number of 3 with 6 to play, but to me it's really getting dicey. It's gone from 10.5 to possibly 4.5 tonight in the span of 2.5 weeks. We're not exactly rolling towards the postseason and it's not guarantee we'll be at home and start winning again. I want the Cardinals to lose, I just want to clinch and be done with it. I can only hope the Cubs offense scores this many runs against the Cardinals too.

If the Brewers get swept by the Marlins and the Cardinals only lose once between now and then, I will start to get concerned.

It would be nice to stay ahead of the D'Backs though.

I made plans on Friday night so I would honestly rather they wait until Saturday to clinch now. Otherwise I can't watch the clinching game and that wouldn't be any fun since I missed most of the '08 clincher as well.

Well i hope they get it done by the weekend ,hopefully Gallardo and Zac will get us two of those wins this weekend.Yes 91 games and thankfully we play these below 500 teams like you have stated. Well i hope i am wrong and most of you guys are correct but been a brewer fan to long to jump the gun. I be happy when it finally done and hope we are not still talking about this on the last game of the season.

I agree with all of this...............it just seems like you've been awfully negative for like a month. I don't quite understand why. It's not like this team has ever really been in a position to choke. 2008 they almost did, but this isn't anywhere close to that situation. 4 1/2 game lead with 6 1/2 to go would be a colossal choke, but I don't see any reason to think it'll happen. There's like a 2% chance IMO.

I be negative because since for December the Team has been playing bad while going from 10 1/2 to it current lead. They just look like a team that trying to hang on and not choke away a division.I really hope i am wrong will feel better with Yo and Grienke going this weekend and think if they do they will clinch.

Fair enough. I think they'll clinch Saturday. As I said, I think there's about 98% chance we make the playoffs.

Don't forget, Atlanta may not win another game............http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
