It's fun to read these threads after being at the ballpark. Let's just say that in being there I had a distinctly different perspective on certain things than people here. Not that either is right or wrong, just different. For example, I didn't see Yo as making a baserunning mistake in not scoring. Was in 226 today and the whole think unfolded right in front of me. My thought as it was unfolding was that if Yo had tried to score he would have been dead at the plate, or at the very least involved in what may have been a collision.

Yes, the Brewers had a tough time getting timely hits, but Worley was tough. And they did square up a few balls that were just caught. I thought today was just a pretty good ball game with pretty good pitching throughout. Yo's day was his season in a nutshell. Great win for the Crew after the disappointment of Saturday night.

I agree with pebadger on the "pretty good" for today. Of course we'd have preferred that they not be in the position of having to avoid the sweep today, but I did not feel like Sunday's game (or what I saw of Saturday's) had the David vs. Goliath vibe with which I think many approached this series.

Our seat neighbors in 217 sported a lot of Axford and a lot of Plush today. The junior announcer kid (who usually sits with his/her family two rows in front of us) was all plushed out, with even some glitter writing on the bill of his cap: "I'm Plush'in." He was so excited when Nyjer drove in the RBI and then scored himself. I'd like to see some STL fan try to convince me that that nice looking kid is a classless thug.

Thanks, Brewers, for ending the losing streak. We are as relieved as you looked. I'll see you next on Wednesday!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
