insert comments about blowing it by not trading for furcal and greinke grooving too many pitches.

You say that as though we wouldn't be better off with Furcal than our current SS. Care to expound? Because you can put me in the category of thinking we needed to get him.

The difference between Furcal and Yuni hasn't been that great. Due to furcal's random brewer-killingness, I guess I'd rather have him, so he could stop doing the damage. But if I had to guess his numbers on the Cardinals against teams that arent the Brewers might be worse than Yuni's. Either way, the difference isn't that great. Yea, he might have been a small upgrade, but I'm sick of hearing about it (especially since he always makes it come up against the brewers). That was the gist of my post.

The Cardinals defense tonight reminds me of the fielders in MLB 11 The Show. No matter where you hit it, the defenders are everywhere making flashy grab after flashy grab.

Guys, that ship has sailed. Is it really the best use of our time to rehash the Furcal issue?
i instantly regretted bringing it up. don't really know why i instigated a discussion I was sick of having. maybe someone would have anyway, but my bad.

about that Corey Hart throw, Lucroy was standing so far out of the play they might as well have not even tried throwing home
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Betancourt tonight: 1st AB -1 pitch: out, 2nd AB - 3 pitches: strikeout, 3rd AB - 1 pitch: out. Total: 5 pitches and 3 outs. Not only are his physical tools bad (slow, inaccurate arm, etc.) which make him a bad MLB player, but he doesn't make the team better really in any way.

Every time we play the Cardinals it seems like the same thing. Lots of good hit balls that go for outs, and a lot of close plays going the Cardinals way. It's been opposite how Brewers have been winning games this year. Kind of a dose of our own medicine.

(That strikeout looks like the regular Furcal this year. That was ugly.)

When Braun or Prince don't hit the rest of this team is junk.
Come on. Hart has been good. Morgan has been good. Lucroy is solid. Green has been good since being called up. Most offenses struggle when their two best hitters are not producing. Although tonight Prince has been on twice and had another hard hit and Braun has been on once
