I know it won't happen in this series, but it would be really nice to see Green get a start. Move Hairston to SS and let Green try it at second for a night, at least it would be a huge upgrade on offense. I know they likely called him up just to have in Sept and have as a postseason roster option, but so far he's just sitting on the bench.

That being said, let's hope the Magic Number never even hits 17 this year. It's time to bury the Cardinals. Even taking 1 game in this series is fine, but this is our chance to effectively end the race right now.

Granted guys like this are in the minority, but still, I saw this on a Cards board:

As TLR pointed out a few weeks ago, the Brewers are cheating at home and it's very obvious just by looking at their record. No team can just play that well at home. It's not possible.

We will sweep them and be 7 1/2 out. The Brewers are inexperienced, cheat, have no fan base and simply don't have the heart of champion. We do and will win the central.

Don't let up Crew!

Wow, this is hilarious. Can you provide a link? I'd like to read more of this stuff. Could use a laugh this afternoon.

Edit: Nevermind, I found it here.

Ha, I guess the 3 million people filling the seats this year (and 2 of the last 3 years) don't count.

Also...we're not the only team in history to dominate at home. Teams in the past have won 60+ games at home.

And my favorite...we cheat. TLR said so and he invented baseball so it must be true. Not that we're just a good team or that we also took a series in St. Louis, it's because we have an elaborate way of changing the lighting on the scoreboards and stealing signs that nobody in MLB can apparently decipher. That must be it. The Cardinals went 52-29 at home last year, but of course, that was acceptable because they were the Cardinals, the couldn't be cheating.

RF Corey Hart

CF Nyjer Morgan

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

3B Casey McGehee

SS Yuniesky Betancourt

2B Jerry Hairston Jr.

C Jonathan Lucroy

RHP Shaun Marcum

More Betancourt, no Green again. About what we all expected I think. Lets hope Casey repeats his 3 bomb performance against Jackson.

No fan base? Funny, that wasn't phantom money we've been spending since 1993 on season tickets, or phantom miles we've put on our car on hundreds of County Stadium/Miller Park round trips from Madison. Yet apparently we must not exist. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

1-0 for Tuesday, Brewers. Do not let up.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

oh man that's priceless. gold.

My favorite part is easily the "don't have the heart of a champion" comment.

I want a video stream of this fan watching a nice solid 7 innings from Marcum into Saito into K-Rod, 5 - 1 crisp beatdown style game while he types furiously into his worn keyboard with a furrowed brow.

Oh Schadenfreud.

It's apparently pointless for Green to be on this roster.

Not really. He'll still be eligible for the playoffs (if they don't send him down in the next 2 days) and I would think that they would keep him over Wilson. Whether he would actually play in the playoffs is another matter.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Knew Green had no shot today. I thought he might have got in on Sunday but for one day in amonth we didn't get a Sunday lineup. Though everytime I see Betancourt hitting 6th I still shake my head trying to figure out how well Lucroy has to hit and how bad Betancourt would have to be for Lucroy not to hit 8th.

Lucroy has not been the greatest since the All-Star break. He has the second lowest OPS (.686) on the team behind only Morgan. I am a big fan of Lucroy but has not been that great lately
