True, but I was at the 2008 game against the Blue Jays were they nearly blew a 7 run lead in the 9th. Yes, they did win, but it left a permanent scar on my psyche. I almost feel worse when they are up by more than 4. I know it's irrational, but I just felt like sharing...
Was that the DaBush near NoNo? I was at that game as well and I feel thats what happened in that game....maybe not though.

Okay, now I feel pretty good about Loe or Dillard or De La Cruz or whoever else we trot out there.

Didn't Dillard and De La Cruz pitch multiple innings yesterday? I think you just trot Axford out there. He is on the longest amount of rest right now.

He didn't pitch yesterday, and hoping he doesn't tomorrow. Dillard went two yesterday, and De Le Cruz also got roughed up and threw a lot of pitches. Who else do you use?
Loe

Loe pitched yesterday, but I imagine he might come in and pitch the 9th.

Saying it makes 'zero sense' is really silly, considering it makes a lot of sense.

It doesn't make a lot of sense when a guy is old and has been injured the past two years. He's not some rubber arm. They are in the playoffs and need to start thinking of that.

love this quote from the cards in-game thread at gatewayredbirds

Meanwhile, Brewers are up 7-1 already.

And I think Fielder just saved a kitten who ran onto the field while snaring a pop fly with his hat that turned into a double play.

Nyger has an OBP over .375 and an OPS of over 1.050 in the 9th+ inning.

8th/9th inning and close game, I am more surprised if he gets out than when he does something positive. HBP, BB, hit, hell even strike out and wild pitch, he just finds a way.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

I take it Fielder is wanting to play every inning this year at 1B?

Yes, that's the game. It was a no hitter, into the 8th I think, and then it nearly fell apart... Joe Inglett had a hit during the Bule Jays near come back, if I remember right.

You may run like Mays...

Guys, I know the Brewers blew a 6-run lead recently, but it's VERY VERY rare to do.

I remember that game vividly. Dave Bush had a no-hitter in the 8th, and I remember Braun diving at a ball to left field hit by Overbay that he had no business catching. Yeah I looked that game up again, and the Brewers were up 8-0 in the 8th, and 8-1 going into the 9th. Dillard got two outs, then gave up a 2-run home run, fell apart and let two more base runners on. I remember being incredibly pissed that Yost put in David Riske of all people to relieve him, and gave up a grand slam. I remember being incredibly furious.
