Upcoming SI article on Nyjer Morgan/T-Plush's rat-pack

DannoMac21
For the collectors out there, Beckett slabs some of each SI issue (usually no more than 20 total for each issue) and designates them as uncirculated. They just put up the Brewers issue for sale ($19.99 each):

I didn't want an uncirculated one, I just wanted to enjoy that one issue. But every single outlet in my area was sold out. Is there anywhere else I can buy just that one issue without the insane markup?

I noticed some at my local Walgreen's last night.

Dump question but that cover is photoshopped right? This wasn't a team celebration was it?
The picture is from Kotsay's walk-off against the Dodgers on August 16th.

You can see the three guys lined up from a different angle at about the 10 second mark here:

Yeah, it's a dumb question. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Hey just so you guys know...the original guy I talked about in my first post informed me about all this stuff via twitter. He's actually a cool follow...slapping myself as to why I didn't give you guys this right away.

He was mentioned in both articles I believe. Matt McKoin. Big Brewer fan. Let's get him over here!

The thing I like best about Morgan is that St Louis fans hate him.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

SO Carpenter said "F U" first. So what? Morgan's reaction was completely unnecessary. Yes, Pujols should have stayed out of it. Yes, Carpenter should keep his mouth shut. But let's be honest here: Morgan never shuts up. He's constantly talking/running his mouth. And that's fine. He just shouldn't be surprised when someone reacts like Carpenter supposedly did after the strikeout.

Does anyone think Carpenter reacts that way if he strikes out Braun? Hart? Or anyone else NOT named Nyjer Morgan at that juncture?

I honestly could care less at this point about Nyjer. He dropped some f bombs as he was walking back to the dugout. Worse than that gets said on the football and basketball field/court.

But baseball is a gentleman's game so we need to make sure Nyjer stays in line.

Was it the most becoming thing for him to do? No. But as long as it stays there I don't care and he hasn't crossed any line yet so I am not going to judge him on what has happened in the past.

His hustle, genuine love for the game and the fact that every one of his teammates love him is enough for me to not care about "incidents" like this.

There was a time where athletes weren't held up to some moral and social code. They were what they were supposed to be, playing a game and having fun doing it. Nyjer embodies this as much and more than most ball players these days.

As far as I know Morgan has never done or said anything to a teammate, coach or umpire. I really couldn't care less what he does with the opponent.
He said something to Bob Davidson when I was at a Brewer game in June for the beanball that wasn't to be. That little conversation got RR ejected along with Sveum.
