I am loving this but it is a little concerning that we aren't scoring at all. Obviously the pitching is awesome but the offense has gotten into a funk. So I guess it is a positive that we keep winning despite no offense to speak of.

Hey, quit sticking reality in my happy little fantasy world!!!

They have an 8 game winning streak, lost one, a 5 game winning streak, lost one, and now a 5 game winning streak. They have now won 18 of 20!
And how close they were to making it 19 of 20 with a 14 game winning streak in there. If only Furcal would have tripped on a shoelace or something

you know, I was thinking about this during the game. These close games are actually going to be quite helpful and beneficial to the team's psyche in the post-season. Every game will be tense in October so we might as well be getting used to it and gain some experience in lots of close games.

I'm not concerned. It means that the offense will start to click again just when the pitching/defense starts to falter. So instead of winning a bunch of low scoring games we'll be winning a bunch of high scoring games. Why waste scoring 10 runs today when only 2 are needed http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I'm probably going to be irrationally upset the next time we lose. I'm not used to it anymore.

That's how I feel right now.

"What?!?? They LOST?!? A GAME?!?? How could this HAPPEN!?!?"

I'm trying to get upset about the offense basically going to sleep the last 4 games, but it's just really hard to get bummed about anything these guys do right now. every offense goes through a funk. It just so happens that during the stretch in which the crew is doing so, every starter is pitching like Walter friggin Johnson.
