Hairston is miles better offensively and defensively from Lopez, it's really not even a question at this point. Let's just hope that RR is smart enough to realize it until Weeks comes back.
And when Weeks does come back, that it's Flip, not Wilson that gets released.

Oh man, I hope you're right on that one. Wilson isn't very good either but he is way more valuable than Lopez. He hits slightly better but his defense is much, much better. Plus he doesn't look lazy and uninterested on the field.

Can't find many complaints about tonights lineup. It would be great if we could win a game going away for a change. All these close ones are going to give me a heart attack at some point this season. I'm going to call for an 8-1 Brewers win. Prince and Braun both go yard, Yo goes 7 strong, with 8 k's.

I really thought Billingsly was going to be the next stud RH starter a couple years ago. He's pretty good but nowhere near where I thought his potential could have led him.

Yup. I remember he owned the '08 team at Miller Park as a 23 year old (right around the day Braun signed his 1st extension), but nowadays Kershaw is the real stud in LA.

I feel the same; kinda how I feel about Gallardo. Both are quite good just not great. Here's to us getting to a good pitcher 1st... and last! I feel like this team can do no wrong right now. Keep it going boys!

McCutchen just hit a 3-R homer. The Pirates lead the Cardinals 3-1 now.

17 minutes until the first pitch. Let's all soak up this season while we can, these years don't happen often for our club.

That's the nice thing about picking Carpenter for my daily fantasy team. Good or bad, it all works out for me!

Cards losing already, hopefully the Crew can add another game to their lead tonight. I am starting to feel really greedy. After looking at the standings after last night's win for a minute all I could think was "a 6 game lead is nice, 7 would be better."

Why not walk him to set up a DP with the catcher at the plate? These are the things that Roenicke does (or doesn't do) that just boggle my mind. Because he brought the infield in, a normal out becomes a hit and the run scores anyway.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.
