Chance of catching Philly?

I think the last two weeks of the regular season are going to be very boring.

There's no races left. There's 6 teams with a 90+% playoff odds, and 2 (Detroit and Texas) who are right around 80%. The only compelling race left is "who wins the AL East" and that's it.

I know the wildcard was put in place to keep more teams involved into September, but this year Atlanta and NY/Boston have taken all the drama out of it.

Also, an odd note, when looking at recent playoffs and September races..........

The Yankees and Red Sox have made the playoffs in the same season 8 out of the 16 years since the wild card has been brought into existence, and this year will of course mark 9 of 17.

So basically every other year, unless you're the Central or Western division champion, you have no chance of making the playoffs. Fun.
