Without a bit of homer-ism, I can say that bf.net is a really great forum that is obviously Brewer-slanted, but also has a lot of intelligent BB discussion. I've learned a lot here. And the mods do a great job keeping it on the clean and level. *hat tip*

It's ok to have homer-ism on your own teams board! Thats what they're made for!

Good moderation of a board goes a long way and keeps people coming back day after day. I hesitate to admit this but what the heck....I help run a Bengals (quit laughing at me! lol) forum and I've seen first hand how lack of moderation will kill participation on a board. I don't know if it's fortunate or unfortunate but I'm loyal to my hometown teams. Even the Bungals. I despise the ownership and things will NOT get ANY better until after he passes on. His old man has been rolling in his grave for 20 years now over decisions he has made or hasnt made. The dude hasnt a clue about how to run a football team. He knows how to make money and as long as he is doing that (and he IS) he is being successful. A lot of other owners have other businesses where they make money and owning a football team is more of a hobby. Unfortunately, the Bengals ARE the family business and as long as they are making money things are good for him. It's our own fault though. We keep buying the tickets and the merchandise.
