What are these "On-field delays" that MLB.com Gameday keeps noting?
Brad Mills was arguing, not ejected though, I guess he kept his several minute tirade G rated
If I were him, I'd WANT to get ejected and save myself from sitting through another Astros game.

boy that would have been a bummer if A) Melvin went bigger or B) Carlos accepted our mediocre offer.

You don't need to be a defensive wizard to be a lot better than Betancourt.

 

Betancourt is just about the same with the bat against righties than lefties.

 

No, he isn't. Betancourt stinks vs RHP. What Betancourt has done over the last 3-4 years is a much better indication of what to expect than what he has done this year or in just the last few weeks.

 

He's hit in 15 of his past 16 games, on another 8 game hitting streak, and raised his OBP about 20 points. There's not much more you can ask of him, or even chance taking him out of the lineup.

 

he(Hairston) stinks against Myers.

 

None of this stuff matters. It is small sample and not predictive.

Well, Betancourt doesn't stink against this pitcher. Single and double. Obviously, was the correct move so far. Its simply another example of when using career stats is overreaching.

C'mon you guys. Embrace the fact that MLB is out to screw the Cards. Houston is just collateral damage.

It sure seems that way. I won't complain when the calls go our way, but I don't see how anyone can argue against expanded replay in baseball. That play wasn't even close in regular speed.
