The Office - Season 3.

I thought there were funny parts, but not the best episode they've had. Actually really felt bad for Pam. I didn't quite get Dwight's comforting of her. I loved Jim talking into the recorder. That whole sequence was pretty funny.

Phyllis: "I can't find a whole pig anywhere."

Angela: "Have you tried the petting zoo?"

Am I the only one who's liking the show less because of Andy (Ed Helms)?

I get where they're trying to go with the character: someone so abjectly insane that he makes Dwight sympathetic. His bits are all forced, and not funny. (Reminds me of why I stopped watching The Daily Show. Well...the part of the reason that I can bring up on this board anyway.) Dwight Shrute walks the tightrope of believability - I don't think there are people like him, but he's symbolic of the eccentric guy in the office. What does that make Andy?

There is a guy in my office that is just like Dwight...down to the rock music to physic himself out...so his character is believable to me. Ed Helms was my favorite character on the show before the office moved. His first Ep was great when he was sizing Dwight up, but he has really fallen off since then. This show has shown before though that it is capable of having a character be amazingly awkward and unbelievable one week, only to come back strong the next.

Dwight smacking into the seat was awesome.

I'll be really disappointed if Dwight isn't back in the very near future. He's definitely a more interesting and compelling character than Andy. Andy's "I'm going to worm my way to Michael's good side" bit was fine at the beginning, and in small doses, but he's just going to be annoying if he plays a bigger part.

I've been hard on Season 3, labeling each episode as just somewhere between below-average and above-average. Tonight's episode was great++. Did anyone else call the "boobs" bit? When Michael stopped with that grin on his face I thought, "He's gonna make the computer say some funny one-word thing like 'boobs'". Classic.

I also don't like Andy. I'm going to hope that Michael finds out what Dwight actually was doing in New York and then gets mad at Andy so he quits/get fired and then Michael finds Dwight and they make up and he comes back.

Best part:

Michael - "How you fit in with this company is something you are going to have to think long and hard ab---"

Dwight - "That's what she said."

That was hillarious. I liked tonights episode. I have no fear you no Dwight will be back. Rainn Wilson is a main part of this show, hes not going anywhere. The Ryan/Stanley stuff was pretty good as well. I have liked this season as much as the first two. You have to remember all this is original where the first two were similar in bits and pieces if not full episodes to stuff that happend in the BBC version. Which I happen to by the entire series pack at Best Buy. Best $48.99 I ever spent.

I don't believe that Michael cares much for Andy and this will come out once Michael finds out why Dwight was late.

For the first time in a long time, Michael showed some competence on the sales call only to have Andy ruin it all(although I am thinking that was deliberate but for some reason I am just not sure). I don't think Michael thinks too highly of Andy regardless of the reason. But it won't matter since Andy is about to feel the full wrath of Angela.

Also, I loved Jim and Dwight's sales call. From Jim slapping Dwight to Dwight using the phone for no explicible reason at first to Jim hanging up on the girl in customer service...brilliant. But all of the sales call scenes were brilliant in how they were set up.

I've watched every episode and never realized Stanley and Phyliss were in sales. I always thought they were in accounting for some reason.

This show has not jumped the shark yet, but they better be careful. This Andy character isn't very funny. I understand what they're trying to do, I just think they're missing the mark. The brown noser who tries to act cooler than he is...I get it and I know the type. Maybe it's just a casting mistake, I don't know.

They are doing a brilliant job balancing Michael's character. Showing just enough competency and common sense to "keep it real."
