I thought the part when Michael had to look up the pahses of grief on the internet was really subtle.....and if you missed it the scene wouldn't have been nearly as funny. Although the line, "My goal is that everyone gets depressed" would still have been hilarious.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

My favorite quotes --

Dwight: When I die, I want to be frozen. And if they have to freeze me in pieces, so be it. I will wake up stronger than ever, because I will have used that time to figure out exactly why I died, and what moves I could?ve used to defend myself better now that I know what hold he had me in.

Creed: You know, a human can go on living for several hours after being decapitated.

Dwight: You're thinking of a chicken.

Creed: (confused) What did I say?

I also very much enjoyed how Ryan and Kevin started describing movies when they talked about losses in their lives. "I could go into detail, but it would take about an hour and a half."

Some parts were great (eg, Pam coming back to the meeting to find they've been waiting the whole time). Other parts were embarassingly overdone or predictable. The cutesy moments with Jim and the new girl were also a waste.

Actually, that started with Pam describing "Million Dollar Baby."

I agree, but they need something in there to keep the mainstream audience interested.

best line of the night:

Michael: It was like someone hit me in the crotch with a frozen sledge hammer.

I was fascinated by, what did Dwight do in the womb? "Resorb" his twin?

Knowing that Dwight is not only an expert on survival skills, but obscure science in general, who am I, a mere office drone to question the veracity of his claim?

  • 2 weeks later...

this thread needs a bump after a great episode last night.

The "Diwalli song" was hilarious. It looks more and more like they are to bring back Jim and Pam.

The other highlight was Michael trying to kiss Pam and then asking for a ride home and she responds on if you ride in the back

The fax prank was great.

I also liked when Michael was talking about how special his employees are. How they don't, "grow on trees", while you see Stanley dozing off at his desk and Phyllis doing some knitting.

I also found the practice confrontation between Michael and Dwight to be very funny. Especially Dwight's reaction just before they cut to the next scene....after Michael told him to be more intimidated.

Yeah, the fax prank was classic.

This is what I am wondering. Since Jim took the job as the #2 guy at Scranton, does that mean Michael will still be the #1 guy? And does that make Jim, Dwight?s boss? How great is that going to be?!?
