The Office - Season 3.

I thought Roy's spaz was a completely transparent move by the writers to move the Jim/Pam plot forward.

Yeah thats what I kinda thought as well. Roy is not supposed to be the nicest guy but I've really seen nothing in his character to suggest him flipping out like that. Also the whole "Jim Halpert will pay" thing at the end was a little stupid IMO.

Well, he's really only been a nice guy this season as he's been trying to win back Pam. Before that he was always portrayed as the testosterone-laden dumb guy. It's not totally out of character.

That said, it wasn't done well and just made everything uncomfortable.

I liked Toby getting shut out by Pam -- "Don't you have a daughter?"

I also missed the part when they asked about the merger and Jim's date said "everyone quit or got fired" -- does that mean Andy's gone, or did I miss something.

I'm looking forward to Dwight hosting SNL.. He is the sort of actor that usually does well in that scenario.

I thought it was pretty funny when Roy's brother started breaking stuff too.

Yeah, that was funny. He just started breaking stuff for no reason and yelled out "jet skies!".

I just wanted to mention that Roy's brother Kenny was played by Apple-ton native and Fellow Brewer fan Mike McGill, who is an acquaintance of mine

Well that is pretty cool. A fellow Brewer fan and Wisconsinite with a role on my favorite TV show, thats sweet. So you kow him?

There's lot's of stuff in season 1 that implies that Roy is a hot-headed douchebag. I recall at the end of the Pilot episode when Jim and Pam were talking about going out for a drink as a group after work, Roy was holding a big black plastic bag of somthingand Jim asked him "what's in the bag?" and Roy wouldn't respond...The basketball game where Roy was getting too aggressive...the Alliance episode when Roy was ready to fight Jim because he was too close to Pam...

Ya i agree. I'm not looking forward to the whole Roy vs Jim thing, I find that all pretty annoying. Why can't they go back to the smart humor that they had for every episode of season 2??? Don't get me wrong, 3 has had its shining moments, like Dwights return, business school, and the one where the branch is gonna close and Dwight and Micheal try to save it. But the problem with season 3 is they are trying to make too much happen. The magic of 1 and 2 was that so little happened, yet so much funny occurred. (Not really sure if thats corect English)

I think they want the office to be the next friends. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'm not a big TV show guy but for awhile there, I was loving Lost, Office and Earl. Now, Lost is unwatchable garbage, Earl's format has gotten a bit stale and The Office, while still good, is a bit sketchy at times. O well, baseball starts soon!
