How is this team better? Granted the pitching is better but not the offenses.

Great pitching > great offense.

As far as I know, that's a cliche that is based on.... I have no idea. I have never seen any evidence even offered up to support it.

Nice to get another early lead. These games have been fun.

Hey look a squeeze worked.. that will justify making another 20 outs at home.

Wow, rock just said you have to figure out how to get your best players at bats, referring to cc and kotsay. My head just exploded.

'Best player' means 'hasn't had a hit since about May'. You just have to figure out 'Rock-Speak'.

RR said Kotsay is in there for his bat. That says it all.

Good call Ronald.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

One reason is that good offenses walk a lot but good pitchers dont walk guys

I'm not complaining about the result, but I'm not sure the squeeze is the most sound strategy there. Granted, Counsell is on deck, but I think Luc is a pretty good candidate to get that run in anyway. And he might have been able to hit safely while doing so.

Nice to get on top, though.

I think I am actually cheering for Cincinnati to beat the Giants now. We are only 3 1/2 behind and if we pass them, we could get home field advantage in the NLDS against the Braves.

I really Believe that the Brewers will be ok with Yuni.

The Brewers will be OK. And the Brewers will have Yuni B. I don't want him to be our starting SS but like it or not it looks like he'll be in there day in and day out so I'll root for him

If I'm a pitcher, I never, ever, ever throw anything anywhere but on the outside to Yuni.

And, until Casey proves he can turn on a pitch, don't throw him anything anywhere but in. And yet teams have recently continued to throw stuff on the outside where Casey can take easily pitches the other way, which is just about all he's trying to do at this point.

Not saying it's always the case but recently, pitching has shown to dominate. Plus I prefer a great staff to a great offense. Shootouts might be more fun but I'd rather have the great pitching. And I think this staff as a whole is better than 08 while the offenses have many of the same players.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.
