Nice AAA/A weekend vacation. Need to finish an 8-1 (at worse) homestand and extend the lead.
Saying winning two games out of three at worst is pretty high standards.

I would have taken a 6-3 homestand at the start but of course I would now love a 8-1 though 7-2 wouldn't be a season ender.

Not a big deal at all to end 7-2, but it would, by defintion, mean that they will lose ground to STL over the next 3 days. Is it asking too much for the Cubs to maybe win tonight? I don't think the Crew is really entitled to ask for anything given the way Houston just put this weekend on a plate for them, but any help further would be appreciated.

It feels weird cheering for the Cubbies (I just threw up in my mouth a little there). Hopefully the Cubs can hang on another inning and win against the Perfectly Classy Team.

The Cubs are so awful it makes it easier...but not tonight! Nice win for the northsiders...that's a 2 1/2 game lead over the Classies heading into the big series. Nice to see the Crew take care of business the last 6 games while the Cards went 4-3 against the same dregs at home. We even beat Cy McFlappyglove while they lost to him. Maybe we can return the favor by putting a fastball in Holliday's ribcage after that "classy" slide into Castro.

OK Brewers, Brewers, Keep turnin' up the heat!!!

The Baseball Gods have already started punishing Holliday: a hat trick followed by a big DP. ESPN also went out of its way to talk about how knowledgeable the St. Louis fanbase is because they cheered for Furcal before his first AB. The average fan would not know to do that! An inning later 2 members of said fanbase were on the field delaying the game.
