Summerfest

statman0007

at the last toby keith concert i went to, the lady in the row front of us started dancing and then lost her pants. my wife wasn't impressed with her, and my son got a close up view of a lady's thongs - something he didn't know existed. She pulled her pants back up and then started dancing again.

Wierd al is in concert? Hmmm. i might have to load up the truck and family for a 4th of the july reunion tour- see summerfest, watch the fireworks, go to the zoo, say hi to my brother, visit the dells, eat some cheese curds, go to a brewers game, complain about the roof. and maybe buy a prince fielder bat. I hear there is one for sale.

they see me mowin' my front yard. because i'm fat, ham on, I'm just addicted to spuds, but i can't decide if i should have the rye, the kaiser or the white stuff. but don't play that song- that achy breaky song. don't dare me to be stupid. why? because I also lost on jeopardy and I've been living with this hearnia too long. I love those rockie roads, taco grande and lasagna. a perfect song for our brewer stats friends : it's all about the pentiums. if it smells like Nirvana, it must be a Wierd Al song. Did I mention I'm kind of like a surgeon? for the very first time? let's go out to the drive through.

summerfest does not do wristbands like they use to. the only way they give free wristabands away is if a concert didnt sell very many lawns seats. the only one i know of last year that they had to give away free tickets on the day of the show was for steely dan. as of right now i am pretty sure all of the acts announced for 2007 so far will have good lawn attendance. And i do believe they sold lawn seats for the steely dan show and then ended up giving them away for free.

I stand corrected then. I can see how and why such a thing would occur. The general public would still have to know about it somehow though. I wouldn't expect a lot of people would have the wherewithal to stop by the ticket office and ask for free tickets.

  • 3 weeks later...

Are all three of those bands coming together to form one band and play all three band's songs? I mean, how many of the guys from those bands are still in the bands or even alive?

I'm sure they'll draw well, but that's pretty weak.

As far as I know, Def Leppard is still the same lineup they've had for many years. Their only real personnel change was long ago when guitarist Steve Clark died and was replaced by Vivian Campbell. They always put on a good show.
"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

If you guys have never seen Styx perform live before, you're missing out. My band, Sonic Circus was fortunate enough to play before REO Speedwagon and Styx near ******on last summer. I'm not biased when I say this but Styx puts on an absolutely incredible show!

Hey, we're playing July 7th at Summerfest too...just announced. We've been on the Classic Rock stage the last couple years and will be again this year. I think it's a 5pm slot. Once I get details of the headliner and time slot I'll let you know.

I saw you guys play there a couple years ago. Very entertaining show. I wasn't fortunate enough to catch any stuffed animals though. My buddy Nate was with me. He's a bartender in Apple-ton. You might know him. I forget where he works though.

So I'm sitting here debating whether I'm hardcore enough to attend a Tool concert, and now Weill says he's going.....maybe I'll have to celebrate Independence Day with Maynard and the gang too.

(I'm guessing you'll be attending at least one of the Twins games in May....hit me up via text message buddy.)
