This team had some disastrous road trips, but if they keep dominating at home they are going to cruise into the playoffs.

The pitching has really been excellent lately.

Man are these some bad teams the Brewers are playing. This is nice.

Yeah, but we had a really tough schedule, so it seemed. This is a nice break and it's a good thing with Rickie out.

I was not excited about the Lopez move, but that was sweet tonight. Now I'm glad we've got him.

Observations from being at the game:

1) Man, the Astros are bad.

2) The Friday night fans remembered Felipe Lopez enough with the die hards to give him a pretty good ovation.

3) Brad Mills really did manage that 7th inning like his team was competing for first place.

4) It was nice to get K-Rod and Ax a night off. I was figuring RRR would go Loe for two and then Saito, but Wolf was able to grit through the 7th after being over 105 pitches to start.

Gotta beat the bottom feeders to get anywhere.

Betancourt and Lopez had nice plays for them tonight, and I have no idea why Lopez hits so well in a Brewer uniform, but I hope he keeps it up for the duration of his stay.

Kameron Loe had a boa constrictor named Angel until 2009, when he went to play in Japan. He then gave Angel to a family in Dallas who had occasionally looked after her while he was with the Rangers.

Pretty fun game last night. Houston lived down to our expectations and my nephew not only finally saw a win, but got either the last or one of the last BP balls Hunter Pence tossed to a kid as a Stro.

Concession-wise, I was delighted to see that the club level deli still has the Brat Bomber sandwich, though somewhat less delighted to see that they hiked the price from $5 in 2010 to $8 this year.

Brewers: Don't let up. That is all.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
