There any other middle IF's out there that are around 35 that Roenicke has a passing acquaintance with? There's your 2B.
I hear David Eckstein isn't officially retired...

The first replay I saw I yelled in pain. Thought it was broken, but it's hard to break an ankle. Probably a really bad sprain. Ugh

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

No kidding. If Weeks does go on the DL and they still don't bring up Green he has to be on PTBNL list. He is the most logical guy to come up. Farris does nothing for me; you can't bring up a no hit 2nd basemen when you already have too many holes in the lineup.

I am assuming Green plays a passable 2nd?

seriously, how many outs are we going to make this year on plays just like that?

With the infield in why go on contact?

Exactly. It makes zero sense. Just like how many times they have bunted in the 1st inning.

any possibility that Rickie's injury could be Achilles-related? That would be terrible if so. (not that an ankle injury of any kind is all nice and fine.)

He's played more 3rd than 2nd, but he has played enough in the minors.

interesting. that was my first reaction to the injury. we would be hoping for a 2012 return if that was the case.
