Pirates and Reds already lost, might as well make it the trifecta with the Cards; at least that would make me feel a little bit better about the Weeks injury

I had a ton of basketball related ankle sprains; the easiest are maybe a couple days; the worst can be a month or more. Hopefully no achilles or anything like that. At the very least I hope Farris and Green can tread water long enough until Melvin can either make a trade or until Weeks gets back

I was at the game tonight, and I wasn't even able to enjoy it after Rickie got hurt. When he was helped up and couldn't put any weight on his foot I couldn't help myself and shouted a naughty word. The people seated in front of me (Cubs fans) actually jumped out of their seats. I'm so bummed out right now.

I was telling Rickie to "hustle hard." Not that he could hear me, but that's what he was doing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

What's weird is that I'm strangely calm about his injury, and although I was nervous in the 9th, I still enjoyed the game as a whole.

At least the injury took place before the trade deadline. August 1 would have been even more frustrating - though I'd expect any team willing to make a deal to ask a king's ransom now. It's simply time for others to step up. You could say it's big-boy time.

Watched the game from my brother's establishment last night, I didn't see Greinke hang a slider all night, that's the best he's looked all year.

Early this morning I'd forgotten to add that the cub-fan element was hardly noticeable from our seats last night. Big props to TB 417 for having only two CHC-clothed fans. The concourses did appear to be full of cubs fans every time I walked out there.

The "Let's go, BREW-ers" chant in the central terrace sections during Axford's 9th was music to my ears.

Same here! That was the most fun I have had at a baseball game (minus the weeks injury) in a long time.
