Would really love to win the series and go home in 1st place after one of the toughest trips of the year. Lots of winnable games coming up in the next few weeks, along with a few chances to knock down the closest competition in the division. If my counting is correct, 40 of the remaining 60 games are against the Cubs, Pirates, Cardinals, and Astros.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke found himself impressed with Fielder's swings Friday and is leaning toward playing his All-Star first baseman Sunday. Fielder and Florida's Gaby Sanchez are the only players in baseball to start every game this season for their respective clubs.

Looks like he'll probobly start.

Considering some may riot if Kotsay starts at 1B over Prince, I somewhat doubt Prince gets the day off today. The only way I could see it is if McGehee plays 1B and Wilson plays 3B.

I don't care who replaces Fielder...he needs a day off. Just saw the lineups on Twitter though and the DH is over at 1st today. To bad RRR doesn't have either the brains or the stones to tell him he has the day off...

Wilson hitting 2nd is pretty brutal. I don't think there is a much better option, I would just bump everyone up a spot, to do this:

Hart

Braun

Fielder

Weeks

Lucroy

Wilson

Betancourt

Carroll

Gallardo

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Asked my daughter what her favorite part of going to the game last night was...she says, "well, Betancourt got a walk." I was surprised and asked why it wasn't Braun's homer or all the other fun stuff. She says it was rarer...very wise for a 9 year old!
Haha very wise indeed. That's good stuff.

He has walked twice in the last week, so almost 20% of his walks for the season have come in the last week.

Yuni en fuego!!!

Off topic, but I like your pic. On another forum I go on fequently there are a bunch of Giants fans who started a thread titled Nyjer Morgan= Classy, and is just a big crybaby fest about him flipping off some fans.

I would be pumped to get a reaction like that from an opposing player I have been heckling all game long. Here is to a series win today so I can read even more poor Giants fan posts.

Have to admit, Plush asked for the reception. He couldn't help himself. In between every inning he was jawing last night. Plenty of hecklers and a lot of booing. It only got louder when he responded. There isnt a player out there who would get treated any different at Miller if he was jawing with the locals...and I am a huge fan of Plush.

I think that's why RR pulled him last night. He makes the huge clutch hit then gets baited into a bonehead play. There's a fairly balanced article in the paper here today.
