Braun ran absolutely fine on his double. Probably the best he ran all series in PHX. Perhaps it was constantly going back on fly balls to the wall. (okay maybe not constantly)

Braun said he is fine, this is all part of "the plan" to ease him back in. That's per Haudricourt and McCalvy, of course.

It makes sense. He'll be available to PH today, start the next two games and get a built in day off Monday.

It does make a little sense to sit Braun if they're still easing him back in, considering he just played back-to-back full games, with one of them being an extra-innings game. Cain's a tough righty, it's the first game in a new city on this road trip without getting a day game yesterday, etc. It's just disappointing to see Kotsay hitting third, but as was pointed out a few days ago (before Gomez got hurt), there aren't many options.

The good news is that the Giants offense struggles to score, anyway, so the Brewers (hopefully) won't need to outslug them to win like they did in Arizona.

Woah, I dozed off for a couple of minutes and had a weird nightmare. Telly was on the pregame show talking about how great the left side of the infield has been lately. Must have gotten a bad chalupa today at lunch.
