Morgan will get some RBIs here, book it.

Wow nearly the same pitch as last night.

edit. and that's what I get for hoping Hart would get on so Morgan had a chance with the bases loaded.

Greinke needs to learn that it is okay to walk a batter. He is down 3-0 to the D-Backs best hitter and then he grooves him a fastball that gets killed. Just let him go man. His walk ratio is so good because he never gives in and that is also the main reason he has an ERA over five.

Well that and he is just so unlucky........

What's his pitch count? He should be in good shape correct?

edit. never mind, just saw 73

He's just not that good. Can we admit that yet?
He´s given up 2 ER over 5 innings while striking out 6 and walking 0. I would say that this is a pretty good outing that I would gladly take from any of our starting pitchers on any given night.

Over the long run, I still think some of these HR and BABIP totals will normalize, as they remain at historically unsustainable levels.

Either you have to admit that Greinke is far different from any other pitcher in the history of baseball. Or you have to agree that he won´t continue to be hit like he has to this point in the season.

on another topic... does anyone know why / how we got so jobbed coming out of the all-star break? seems like we were one of a handful of teams playing on day 1 post break, and again, one of a handful of teams playing today (the only one at night; can't getaway).

just seems like either of the days could have been an off day.

we will have played 4 more times than the Pirates... which I guess will come in handy AUG / SEPT, but sure woulda been nice to give Braun a full day off.
