Randy Wolf

6-6, 3.65

Wolf was knocked around by the D-backs in the Brewers' first-half homestand, and this is his opportunity to even the score. He surrendered a season-high seven earned runs on 10 hits and four walks at Miller Park on July 5.

Josh Collmenter

4-5, 2.92

The right-hander starts his second consecutive game against the Brewers. On July 6, he pitched six innings, allowed no runs on three hits, struck out three and walked one. He looks to get back into the win column after losing four straight decisions.

Will Kottaras get back to back starts?
Yeah, I think Haudricourt already said yesterday he was going to start back to back. I doubt Lucroy will ever catch Wolf again.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

I hate these really late West Coast start times.

I've never gotten the 6:40 local start times for Arizona, and I'm pretty sure they've been doing that a while. Basically every other team starts at 7:05 or 7:10 local time on week nights. Anyone know the reasoning?

Really makes no sense at all considering how hot it is there and essentially guaranteeing 25-30 minutes more of the game being played in daylight hours. Wonder if it has something to do with the age of the population there?

Seeing as they shut the roof this time of year, I doubt the weather is a factor at all.

Hart 9, Morgan 8, Kotsay 7, Fielder 3, Weeks 4, Kottaras 2, McGehee 5, Betancourt 6, Wolf 1

Braun out again, Yuni back in. Crap.

Yes Braun out equals crap. At least Yuni is batting where he should be when he is in the lineup.

Anyone else wish we were the ones extending JJ Hardy 3 years and not Baltimore?

Im not a fan of the 640 start time personally because to make it to the ballpark with enough time to park and get to the stadium (parking garages only,no tailgating http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif) I have to leave my house during the peak of rush hour. At least with a 710 start I would miss that rush hour peak by a good 15-20 min.

Driving at sunset can be pretty hazardous in Arizona. At this time of year sunset is at about 7:40. If start times are an hour beforehand, you avoid significant desert glare as well as traffic delay.
Is this serious? I'd never heard of that or even thought of it. Huh.

I love the 6:40 starts because that means the game starts at 9:40 here rather than 10:10. So I get to watch 3-4 innings rather than 1-2.

Go Crew!

I don't know the reasoning, but for what it's worth, the Brewers recently asked us to participate in an online survey for season ticket holders, and there were questions asking if we'd prefer a Friday start time of 7:40 and Sunday start time of 1:40. (We replied no to each.)
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I'm an early bird, so I like the earlier starts...I wish all evening starts were 6:00 or 6:30.

Even the regular starts work well for a Milwaukee fan on the west coast...I go to be early and usually know the score. The only time it's an issue is games out here where I go and get home late. I wind up getting there for BP anyway so I can beat the daily carmaggedon.
