If you had told me 5 years ago that I'd be more interested to watch a Women's World Cup soccer match than a Brewers team battling for first in their division after the All-Star Break, I would have sought to have you committed.

If you include the ASG (where along with Rolen he was the most overmatched hitter on either squad), Weeks is 0-12 with some pretty brutal at-bats since the Home Run Derby. Probably just a little bit of noise, but he's also earned his results.

You always hear about a player that struggles after the homerun derby. It may be a cliche, but I always hope our guys sits it out.

Yeah I think I'm gonna switch over to this LA Galaxy/Real Madrid game. Hopefully something good happens while I'm away.

Usually I don't buy into this but it looked like Rickie changed his swing a lot in the derby

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

No matter how poorly the team performs, RR isn't getting fired this year and probably not next year either.

...because the players love him too much.

Dumping a rookie manager after one season isn't exactly a good way to get well-qualified candidates to apply to your open position.

I will also add that I would like to see Melvin get an extension. There simply are not very many good GMs out there and I do not want to risk getting a bad GM that ruins the franchise for a decade or longer. Only a select few have produced consistent results with a small market like we have seen from Melvin.
