Zack Greinke

7-3, 5.45

What a weird first half for Greinke. He's 7-3 with four double-digit strikeout games and the team is 9-4 when he starts, but he also has a 5.45 ERA. Greinke is hoping the results begin matching how he feels on the mound.

Jhoulys Chacin

8-7, 3.16

Chacin has dropped his last three starts, but it's hard to fault his performance in Washington on Sunday. He struck out four and held the Nationals to one run and four hits in seven innings, but received no run support.

Come on, Brewers. Put these road woahs you've been experiencing behind you. Regardless of the starting nine or how many bloop singles the Rockies get, it is time to right the ship.

I like this move. It probably isn't best for the long term, but with the majority of the lineup in a slump, it is nice to see our 3 best hitters in the 3-4-5. Maybe batting leadoff will awaken Corey Hart, he has been getting a bit of a free pass this year with McGehee and Betancourt getting more attention.

Just watched a few highlight clips from late May to get back into the spirit of things, ready for a win tonight :-)

Love the new lineup, except that Morgan should leadoff over Hart. Makes more sense. Hart hits great in the 2 hole, and Morgan is used to being a leadoff hitter. Oh well, at least it's a step in the right direction. Just need a new SS and 3B, or at least one, and we're good.

I like that RR shook it up but Prince is right. If you are moving Rickie to 5 why in the world wouldn't you have Morgan leading off?

2 run homers are better then solo shots last time I checked.

Interesting that Wilson is getting a shot at short. Make the plays and get a few hits and they will give you another start Josh.

Go 0-4 and and Yuni is back in there tomorrow........

I don't know, Hart seems to be doing ok. .266/.345/.468/.813, 11 homers isn't too bad.

I think he's been under the radar because it seems like a lot of his best work has been somewhat irrelevant to the outcome of games. He had the 3 homer game, which was nice, but in essence he "used up" 25% of his homers in a game where the team "didn't need" all of them. His RISP BA is very low (.214) and his RISP OPS is 50 points worse than McGehee's.

Just another one of the guys in the "nobody other than Fielder, Braun, Weeks and Morgan" group. Not that he's sunk to the depths of most of the others, and he'd be fine if others were pulling their weight, but at this point the team needs at least one more hitter to change the equation to at least 5 pullers vs 4 dead-weights.

I had no idea Hart had an .800 OPS this year. He sure has been under the radar though.
Because it seems that everytime he's in a clutch spot, he fails. RISP this year, he's batting: .214/.315/.375. Those aren't good number's.

Let's hope Doug gets Wilson Betemit soon to play 3B. He'd look good in this lineup. It was just reported that talks are going on, so it could go down soon.

I don't know why we would waste time trying to trade for him. He's a decent hitter and bad defender. You could likely call up Green, get the same production and instead focus on getting a SS.

I agree with that line of thinking. The Brewers probably ony have the resources to after one spot from outside the organization without really causing problems for the future. If we've learned anything the past several seasons it's that as long as you aren't horrible you have a shot in the NL Central. No need to destroy the team when a team worse than the one the Brewer have this year wil still have a legitimate shot at winning the division.

Get a new SS and let Green play.

Why? This gives our best hitter one fewer AB than the top guys. I don't like this lineup. Looks like panic to me.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I think it is a good move. I would rather have Rickie be in the RBI spots than Hart.
