Anyone ripping any? They are a lot of fun. I ripped two boxes so far and pulled 5 jersey relics, 1 Delmon Young printing plate, and a Mariano Rivera rip card /75. I want to rip it, but I'll probably just sell.

 

My local card shop set a case aside for me so I could chase the rip card, but I already pulled the rip card from the case. Should I keep buying from the same case to chase autos, or should I pull from a different case in search of more rip cards?

what is a rip card?

A card that contains a mini card inside. Basically you have to decide if you want to rip your card in half to see what is inside.

I'm not into the card collecting, was a long time ago, but the 80's really killed the hobby for me.

 

Too many sets to collect, subsets, new companies, etc just made me lose all interest.

 

I usually get a brewers team set every year, and once in a while I grab up an auto card on ebay, but that's about it.

I bought my first boxes a couple months ago after about a 20 year hiatus. With all of the different types of cards out there I am going to limit myself to 3 or 4 sets each year. Thus far I've decided on Bowman and Allen & Ginter.

I would sell it unripped. It looks like you should get around $100 for the Rivera.

 

I haven't opened wax in years. I just buy the Brewers seperately. Well, I guess I'll have to take that back I'm breaking a case of 1989 and a case of 1990 Topps stickers now. I don't open any new wax.
