We'll have to wait and see how the Wisconsin MiLB.TV thing shakes out the kinks.

As of this post time (1:00 PM Friday), last night's Timber Rattler video is yet to archive.

And perhaps more importantly, tonight's contest has yet to be listed among the MiLB.TV choices, so that would preclude subscribers from being able to watch live.

Final: @Jupiter 2, Brevard County 1

Tyler Thornburg was good, allowing just a two-out, two-run homer in the 1st inning, but the 'Tees didn't have enough offense to overcome even that; Thornburg fanned six in six innings of work. BC managed just two hits, one each by D'Vontrey Richardson and Josh Prince. Prince also walked and stole his 14th base but also committed two errors. Kentrail Davis swiped his 25th bag.

A chance to tie in the 7th went for naught:

Brevard County Top of the 7th
  • Josh Prince walks.
  • Sean McCraw out on a sacrifice bunt, third baseman Chase Austin to first baseman Jaime Ortiz. Josh Prince to 2nd.
  • With Juan Sanchez batting, wild pitch by Collin Cargill, Josh Prince to 3rd.
  • Juan Sanchez strikes out swinging.
  • Scooter Gennett flies out to left fielder Daniel Pertusati.

Final (game one): @DSL Brewers 3, DSL Cardinals 2 (7 innings)

18-year-old Venezuelan righty Jorge Ortega pitched well again, posting a 5/0 K/BB in six innings while allowing two runs. Orlando Arcia and Esthervin Matos were each 1-2 with a walk, with Arcia's hit going for two bases; each committed a throwing error in the field, for Matos already his 4th in just 11 games. Elvis Rubio was hitless, unless you count the pitch that hit him. Obviously, because this game was scheduled for just seven innings, the two teams faced each other again in some fashion today, but the suspended game box score has not been updated, and there's an empty box score for a second game. We'll see what happens (happened).
Arcia came up big with two outs in the 2nd:

DSL Brewers Bottom of the 2nd
  • Juan De Leon pops out to shortstop Leobaldo Pina.
  • Elvis Rubio strikes out swinging. Wild pitch by pitcher Juan Bautista. Elvis Rubio to 1st.
  • Dionis Hinojosa singles on a fly ball to center fielder Amaury Capellan. Elvis Rubio to 2nd.
  • With Francisco Castillo batting, passed ball by Luis Cruz, Elvis Rubio to 3rd. Dionis Hinojosa to 2nd.
  • Francisco Castillo flies out to center fielder Amaury Capellan.
  • Yonki Hernandez hit by pitch.
  • Orlando Arcia doubles (8) on a fly ball to left fielder George Araujo. Elvis Rubio scores. Dionis Hinojosa scores. Yonki Hernandez out at 3rd, left fielder George Araujo to shortstop Leobaldo Pina to third baseman Ronnierd Garcia.

Nelson with another good outing and Gagnon with quite the debut.

Huntsville was postponed and Nashville has yet to start, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them washed out as well.

Drew Gagnon only went two innings for Helena in his debut, but they were impressive:

Idaho Falls Bottom of the 1st
  • Tyler Chism called out on strikes.
  • Adrian Martinez grounds out, pitcher Drew Gagnon to first baseman Parker Berberet.
  • Daniel Mateo singles on a line drive to center fielder Robert Garvey.
  • Richard Espy called out on strikes.

Idaho Falls Bottom of the 2nd
  • Mark Threlkeld strikes out swinging.
  • Michael Liberto strikes out swinging.
  • Darian Sandford called out on strikes.

Well looks like we hit on another 3rd round pitcher for the 2nd straight year! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Congrats to Drew on the outstanding start to his Brewer career.

Jimmy Nelson is really starting to heat up. Nearly makes me want to say eat crow to all those who a couple a months ago where already complaining he was a complete bust, a terrible pick, had no future, Arnett 2.0 and all that other crap after 2 bad months. I'm excited with what he is starting to do. Granted he is a freshly 22 yr old pitcher in the Midwest league and this is expected out of him, it is really nice to see. Hope it can continue!

Nelson is trending well but his overall stat line still stinks for a college pitcher in A ball. It could just be a hot streak or it could mean better things are to come.

Wow, Tyler Cravy. He seems good for one of these kind of outings every once in awhile:

Idaho Falls Bottom of the 3rd
  • Pitcher Change: Tyler Cravy replaces Drew Gagnon.
  • Tyler Smith strikes out swinging.
  • Chris Elder lines out to second baseman Gant Elmore.
  • Tyler Chism strikes out swinging.

Idaho Falls Bottom of the 4th
  • Adrian Martinez singles on a line drive to center fielder Robert Garvey.
  • With Daniel Mateo batting, wild pitch by Tyler Cravy, Adrian Martinez to 2nd.
  • Daniel Mateo strikes out swinging.
  • Richard Espy doubles (7) on a line drive to center fielder Robert Garvey. Adrian Martinez scores.
  • Mark Threlkeld strikes out swinging.
  • Michael Liberto strikes out swinging.

Idaho Falls Bottom of the 5th
  • Darian Sandford strikes out swinging, catcher Tyler Roberts to first baseman Parker Berberet.
  • Tyler Smith called out on strikes.
  • Chris Elder called out on strikes.

Together with Gagnon's outing, in five innings the Chukars have made two outs on balls in play.

Wow, Tyler Cravy. He seems good for one of these kind of outings every once in awhile:
That's why I picked him for my breakout player, he's a got plus fastball and decent stuff, but he sure is inconsistent and it's disappointing he is back down in R ball again. Rivera is holding his own nicely though, he even walked tonight... hopefully the OBP goes up as he learns to be more selective at the plate.

Final: West Michigan 5, @Wisconsin 4

Another one that got away. The Whitecaps got three in the 8th off Greg Holle to tie and another in the 9th off Dan Britt for the win. Jimmy Nelson, however, continues to inspire hope: 6.2 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 6/6 GO/FO, 100 pitches, 61 strikes. As he discussed with Toby, he throws both a four- and two-seam fastball; perhaps lately he's been going to that four-seamer more, since his strikeouts are up and his grounders are down. Pretty evenly distributed offensive attack for the Rattlers, though Nick Shaw was on three of five times with two singles and a walk. Newly converted catcher Joey Paciorek committed his sixth passed ball in just his tenth game with Wisconsin; he had two in four games with Helena.
West Michigan Top of the 8th
  • Pitcher Change: Greg Holle replaces Brian Garman.
  • Ryan Hamme walks.
  • With Nick Castellanos batting, Ryan Hamme steals (1) 2nd base.
  • Nick Castellanos walks.
  • James Robbins singles on a line drive to left fielder T. Mittelstaedt. Ryan Hamme scores. Nick Castellanos to 3rd.
  • Jason Krizan grounds out, second baseman Mike Brownstein to first baseman Cody Hawn. Nick Castellanos scores. James Robbins to 2nd.
  • With Rob Brantly batting, passed ball by Joseph Paciorek, James Robbins to 3rd.
  • Rob Brantly strikes out swinging.
  • Steven Moya reaches on fielding error by second baseman Mike Brownstein. James Robbins scores.
  • Josh Ashenbrenner grounds out, third baseman Gregory Hopkins to first baseman Cody Hawn.

West Michigan Top of the 9th
  • Pitcher Change: Dan Britt replaces Greg Holle.
  • Jeff Rowland strikes out swinging.
  • Hernan Perez walks.
  • Ryan Hamme walks. Hernan Perez to 2nd.
  • Nick Castellanos called out on strikes.
  • James Robbins singles on a ground ball to right fielder Franklin Romero. Hernan Perez scores. Ryan Hamme to 2nd.
  • Jason Krizan flies out to center fielder Reggie Keen.

Count me as one that's very high on Yadiel. Nice to hear how impressed Toby has been by his arm, as well. Honestly I didn't think he should've been sent down from Wisconsin... but what do I know.
