Nashville: Idle until Thursday; PCL All-Star Game is Wednesday evening

 

Huntsville: Idle

Arizona Rookie (Maryvale): Idle

 

DSL Brewers: at the DSL Cardinals, 9:30 AM, although game data won't be available until late afternoon at the earliest

 

These two DSL teams were rained out in the Cardinals' park last week, but the league rarely schedules back-to-back doubleheaders, though it's possible they play two here.

 

There is also the matter of this suspended game (1-1, 8th inning) that is yet to be resolved between these two clubs. But that was begun in the Brewers' park, so would they wait to complete it back there?

 

So what we're saying is expect one nine-inning contest, but don't be surprised if they throw us a bonus on this extra-light night.

This one was called after the top of the 7th. A five-run 4th carried the Cerveceritos to victory. Eliezer Montano picked up the abbreviated complete game win, striking out six and walking two in his six innings. Dionis Hinjosa followed up yesterday's three-hit, four-steal game with two more hits today, including the first homer of his career. Yonki Hernandez and Orlando Arcia, refinding his mojo, also had two hits; one of Arcia's was a double. Esthervin Matos, moved up to third in the order, went 0-3 but was hit by a pitch and stole his third base (and committed his third error). No Elvis Rubio.
