Just bought two TIX to Portishead . . . .

Feels like I just won the lottery. Here are the dates....

call me a loser or an old fogey or something . . . I had to do a google search for what is portishead. I figured it was a band. that was all I had to go on.

I absolutely loathe driving to Chicago, but Portishead are one of the very few bands I'll make the trip for. If the Aragon Ballroom tickets haven't gone on sale yet, it can't be sold out, can it? I see no mention on either the theater website or Ticketmaster's.

I had heard of them, but I had no idea that tickets were hard to get.
Shows are hard to get. First tour in 13 years.

There were a limited amount of pre-sale tix on their website. Gone now. I don't know how I lucked out.

I think the general sale starts tomorrow.

I went to a show there a couple years ago and could park on the street just a few blocks away for free. There are side streets that are pretty residential close to the venue. It's not like you have to go right downtown or anything.
