90's cap

There's also a guy who has a couple 7 1/4s for sale but his listing is confusing in that the colors seem different (could just be a bad photo) and there is talk that "these custom made vintage caps are made to order by HAND". That seems to imply that they are being currently produced in the guy's basement or something but it could just be bizarrely worded for some reason.

Here's a bucket hat with that logo.

American Needle appears to make every vintage Brewers cap except for the one you are looking for. They even make the hideous 1994-1996 version. Not to mention the Seattle Pilots cap. Maybe they'll make the one you're looking for in a couple years.

Unrelated to the 1997-1999 hat search, but here's a 1936 American Association Milwaukee Brewers retro hat. Pretty cool. That's from Ebbets Field Flannels. They have some of the best looking throwbacks I've ever seen. For example, this.

I've been looking everywhere I can think of and I can't find anywhere that is selling those hats in bulk. That doesn't mean there isn't someone somewhere with a cache of them though. I did, however, find this beauty.

Thats a cool website. There is a 1947 Brewers jersey http://www.ebbets.com/pro...1947Road/BaseballJerseys

Maybe I'll get one and have Alvin Dark sign it.

Ooh, that website also has a Borchert Field Grounds Crew jacket.

slobberknocker, it might be worth calling the Brewers Team Store to see if they ever have it on hand. 1-888-DUGOUT4 or 414-902-4750.

For example, they have been selling a Milwaukee Bears cap (like worn in Saturday's game) the last few seasons, but they only bring it out around the time of the Negro Leagues game. In the apparent absence of other options, it's worth a try.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I was the one last year that posted a topic about that hat as I to love the logo. I searched long and hard for it. I have a big noggin, wear a 7 3/8 or 7 1/2 and all those ones on ebay are way to small. I finally came across the website www.myfitteds.com and that is where I finally found a 7 1/2. I just checked out the site again and they still have the hat but only in a size 8 left.

hawing, I am glad you mentioned that they sell the Bears hats around the time of the Negro League game. I called the store today and they said they have them for $30. I am thinking about getting one, really like that cap. Sad thing is I was at the game last night but never bothered to check out the team store since I was there last week Saturday doing the Miller Park tour and I did not see them in the store that day so I figured they never sold them.

I believe that hat/uniform style was the design-de-jour for a good portion of the members on this site. It's what the Crew was wearing when these members were young and impressionable. They grew up with those unis so they are their favorite.

Personally, I absolutely hated the move to that logo and uniform set. I still despise them. I think they are hideous. I understand the logic with the change, trying to get a new personality out of the team (similar to the Devil Rays changing to the Rays). The site of them just made me think minor league. At least they didn't go with teal, purple, and/or black since those were really popular choices of teams back in the early 90s.

Exactly. I'll never forget when I saw the 'Motre Bame' hats for the first time at the mall in early '94. I thought that it was a bad joke at the time. Judging from the outfield walls at County Stadium during that time, the Brewers were pretty 'minor league' back then, weren't they?

Cool; happy to help. I got a Bears hat in 2009, shortly after the Negro League game, and by the end of the '09 season didn't see it in the store anymore - but then it was back around Negro League time in 2010. The only other fan I've seen with one is the Doorman (though his is probably authentic and not an adjustable replica like mine).

The interlocking MB of the mid-1990s is still my least favorite Brewers logo. The M as noted in the lead post is better. I wasn't a fan of those uniforms at all, but I understood why they wanted to make a change after the Yount era ended.

funny, I read 80% of the thread before I saw a post from myself and then realized that the thread was an old one. No wonder none of the links worked properly!

My brother got me one for Christmas. I will ask him where he got it and report back. For what it's worth, I love the uniforms and interlocking MB "industrial stamp" logo as well, (before the M hats) simply because they were the uniform they wore when I was in middle school and high school. Proudly sport that logo nearly every game.
