Wow thank goodness he swung threw that... hung a slider belt high down the middle.

I am frustrated with Greinke but I think the problem is his fastball. The location is really bad when he gets hit around. For most of the game his fastball is on the outside corner and guys dont get good swings at it. But when he overthrows, it ends up over the middle and gets crushed. So I would say this is mostly just location issues and more a mental thing. But maybe thats just me.

And I am not making excuses but Gamel has to make that play.

Gamel.... *sigh* could have at least saved a run if not gotten an out.

Well, I guess Greinke just can't have a good game. It would be nice to see him pitch good for a whole game at least once.
Like 7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, and 10 K? I understand what you're getting at (we'd all like to see those starts a lot more), but he has had some nice starts. That rays start I mentioned, 7 IP 10 K against Washington. Before the Yankee game he was in a pretty good stretch with 5 of 6 games being quality starts (the lone bad one being that Cubs game). I understand, and share, the frustration....but a lot of people make it sound like he hasn't shown anything so far this year. He has, i just wish he'd show it more often.

Grienke shouldn't have loaded the bases with no one out.

Maybe Gamel should make that play, but the guy hasn't played 3rd in forever. This roster construction is a frickin' joke. Play someone who can actually play 3rd. Maybe the guy in AAA with a .900+ OPS

It's hard to blame Gamel for that. He hasn't played third in a year and now the Brewers are throwing him into the fire. He spent all his time concentrating on first, gets called up to DH and then they say oh, now go play third.

I don't care how many Ks he has if he keeps getting knocked around. I'm so sick of defending him.

Those two runs are on Gamel, not on Greinke. The defense hasn't exactly helped Greinke all that much this year.
He did load the bases and hung a slider to Phillips. He got extremely lucky that Phillips didn't crush it.

However I do agree that Gamel should never be at 3rd.
