I HATE Gamel starting at 3b. It would not surprise me at all if he has some throwing errors tonight. On Wednesday, I was watching him warm up and he launched at least two throws over Prince's head and into the crowd. To me it seemed like he was really thinking about the throws too a la Knoblauch.

He should be sent down to play everyday at 1b. Call up Green to play 3b.

I doubt it. People complained the last couple games he started too. he was fine. Like I said before I'll say again he can't really be worse than McGehe defensively at 3rd.

Well that pitch to Votto just stunk. Hopefully that's it for the night though.

Hitting a mistake... I already like Rillo in the booth.

edit. I'm going to have to stop watching Greinke starts, I just end up getting pissed because his stuff is so good but he just won't stop grooving pitches.

Yep, Rillo tells it like it is instead of sugar coating everything and making excuses like Rock.

Why doesn't he throw that changeup more often?
Not sure, he's a rare pitcher that has 4 plus pitches, but he mostly sticks with 3, his slider is either great or it's a terrible hanger over the middle of the plate and his FB rarely hits the catcher in where he's setup. He's an enigma.

Batters just sit on his fastball and if his location is off, they

crush it. Maybe if Greinke used that changeup more, batters wouldn't be

so comfortable at timing his fastball?

i have lost confidence in Grienke. When we first got him I was so excited and now i don't even like to watch him pitch.

agreed. every start you think "this is the one where he turns it around." so isappointing.
