2011-07-05 Diamondbacks (Duke) at Brewers (Wolf) - [Brewers lose, 7-3]

I think Brian and Bill have about 5 innings worth of blowout content. Matt Vasgersian used about 5 years worth of blowout content as the Brewers announcer.

Nice job by the crowd getting into the game despite the score. Maybe they can get the offense fired up to make a comeback. (Yes, I doubt it, but I am eternally hopeful)

"Betancourt on the first pitch, bounces out to short to end the inning..."

It is deja vu all over again

Maybe the Royals said "we won't give you Greinke unless you take Betancourt"

Maybe Doug Melvin should attend "Gamblers Anonymous"

Make Hart run about 20 foul poles after the game for all his non-hustle
I was a huge Hart fan when he was in the minors and first came up, but he's slowly lost me over time.

What I learned about Corey Hart when I went to the game on the 4th is he is probably the biggest jerk on the team. He struck out 3 times to end innings and every time he spiked his helmet, dropped his bat, turned away and walked slowly towards right field. I almost never see guys do this. Most of them will hand their stuff to the bat boy or at least toss it over - Hart doesn't even acknowledge that he exists. He does this every single time.
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Did Coshun and Davey just give credit to Zach Duke? I guess he deserves some, but I wager we could have assembled a group of starters from AA and below that would have achieved similar results tonight.

I was wondering if maybe the Nashville Sounds could beat this lineup

I want Gamel to do well so badly, so that RR has to start playing him. He really would give us another big bat in this sometimes always punchless bottom of the order. Unfortunately he keeps hitting balls hard for outs (not counting that one that he obviously just missed and flied out).

edit: used the wrong word the first time.

I know it probably wouldn't make any difference but isn't time for somebody to get mad? You see managers call out their teams all the time, challenge them if you will. You see players show some fire when they are getting their butts kicked.

All we get from this team and its manager is....."its a long season, we are a great team, the guys will work their way out of it...blah blah blah"

I know anger won't turn Yuni into a good hitter or make Loe a competent 8th inning guy but you would think somebody would get pissed about this bad baseball that we have been watching for 3 weeks now.

Probably just me being a fan but somebody needs to show some leadership and soon.......

RR has been pretty clear with his quotes the past few days that they're playing bad baseball. Maybe I've missed it, but I haven't seen the "it's okay" quotes from him lately.

And this was supposed to be the strength of the team?

Haudricourt Assuming #Brewers don't rally (hold laughter), they will be 1-7 over last 8 games with starting pitchers going 0-5 with 8.24 ERA.

Starting pitching has been the strength of the team this season. They haven't pitched well lately. I wish things had gone better in the last week or so, but it doesn't mean that on the whole, the starting five haven't done a good job.
