This team needs to acquire an established set-up guy in the worst way, preferably one who has closer experience.
They just added that exact player a couple days ago and RRR chose not to use him.
That's going to be the issue. You know they will put Saito on the 'kid glove regimen' for the rest of the season. You can't have a setup guy who can't pitch on back to back days, or even 2 of 3.

Roenicke isn't getting fired this season and probably not in 2012 either.

I still like our chances in this game with the top of the order coming up. Maybe Braun can pinch hit for Yuni if it gets that far?

Yeah. I thought Montero was a switch hitter, but he is a lefty.

With a competent manager, guys like Loe and Braddock are really useful.

Loe has faced 86 lefties this season and 87 righties.

Which means that league has a clear book on Loe with him facing 1/2 LHers. Maybe someone should slip Roenicke a copy?

He wouldn't read it.

Kam is his guy. Through thick and thin. Same as McGehee and Kotsay.

He would have to learn to read before this could happen and Im starting to believe he isnt intelligent enough.

Serious question (not trying to be smart): How limited is Saito due to his injury history? Last season, he pitched 54 innings with a 2.83 ERA (2.43 FIP, 2.69 xFIP). If he's healthy enough to be on the roster, why isn't he pitching?

Kam is our 8th inning guy. I have faith in Saito, but he just came back from injury and Kam is our 8th inning guy.

Something like that I am sure.

Sometimes this team makes miscues that I get pissed at watching our HS team. A wild pitch allows a run to score and now an error moves runner all the way around to 3rd.

edit. And now a soft liner to score another run. I'm still irritated about a FB that hits homeplate and skips through Lucroy, it's not very often you see a FB in the dirt.
