We are currently doing a lot of things wrong, that is for sure. The season is not over but I have to agree with those who say that this team won't get very far as currently constituted. A statistic that is bothering me is that we have gone 2-6 in our last 8 series. I posted this yesterday, and I will repeat today, it just seems that we don't fight over every out the way the top teams do. We don't seem to analyze our bullpen match-ups very well. We make undisciplined plays in the field. Our hitters will go multiple innings without a real strategy at the plate. Don't forget we didn't score after the 4th today. We seem to have a hard stopping things from going the wrong way. In many of our wins we let nice become close this year. I don't know if I want to blame that on RR. We have been playing this way for years. I think we need a true LOOGY, I like Braddock but he isn't a LOOGY, he is a true set-up man. A shortstop would be nice (remember when we thought we were SS rich?) but it is unlikely we will find one. I wonder if we have the financial flexibility and the talent pool necessary to put the pieces together for those last couple of players. That west coast road trip in July scares me, I hope that we aren't debating whether or not to trade Prince at that time.

so looking at the bullpen we have Hawkins who is only allowed to pitch about once a week.

Braddock who not brought in to Face Lefties.

Saito who can't seem to pitch back to back days

and Loe who allowed to pitch everyday no matter how bad he pitches.

Shouldn't we expect a significantly larger platoon split from Loe than average?
