2011-07-03 Brewers (Greinke) at Twins (Blackburn) - [Brewers lose, 9-7]

Braddock and his no-platoon split is immediately pulled when a righty is up and a lefty on deck.

Kameron Loe and his 5.6 career ERA against LHBs (over 200 IP) is left in to face a guy who simply mashes RHP.

While the Greinke stuff is overblown, RR clearly is ignoring statistics here. There is simply no justification for this.

I don't know if it's kosher to say our manager has "cost us" multiple games this year, but I feel terribly for guys like Loe, Hawkins and Braddock because the former is just being left out to fry against batters he doesn't have the skill level to get out and the latter 2 are simply seeing their talents wasted.

How many games has Loe cost us to this point?

It has to be bordering on double digits at this point. At some point Roenike needs to get a clue and realize this guy should not be our setup man.

And then you have Hawkins who has been lights out, and he doesn´t see the light of day in these tight and close situations.

Well if the Twins hold the lead Loe will be 2-7. So 7 loses and I'm not sure how many leads he has given up in the 8th.

And poor Braddock is now on the hook for the L... unbelievable.
Braddock's guys are the tying runs, right, it's Loe on the hook for the L. I didn't have a problem with him coming in when he did but I did wonder why Braddock was starting the 7th. Where is Hawkins with his .5 ERA? I just don't get why he's never in there.
Yeah, I misheard the score. I thought it was 10-7 not 9-7.

They are near the top in the NL Central because they are in the NL Central. Toronto would be near the top of the NL Central. So would Baltimore. The Angels. The Mets. The Nats. The Rockies.

I don't know that the Brewers are a playoff contender in any division other than the NL Central.

Add 1 since he gave up a 5 spot to the Mets, but the Brewers came back via Tony Plush.

And Loe is still in to promptly give up a single.

Bill is blaming it on lack of work. Uh yea....

Haha, I was thinking the same about Bill's comment. I can't stand how they always talk about how Loe needs to pitch a ton of games in a row or his stuff won't be sharpe. He throws every day I'm sure; he warms up in the pen. That should be no excuse for why his stuff isn't good.

Baldkin[/b]]According to Fangraphs, Loe has 8 meltdowns this season. If you include todays as his 9th, that puts him 1 behind the MLB lead. He has 18 shutdowns as well. By comparison, Axford has 2 meltdowns and 21 shutdowns.
wow, that's amazingly bad. So 9 out of 27 appearances are meltdowns? Outstanding.

FWIW, Hawkins has 7 SD to 1 MD.
